How dykaw looks after your personal data
dykaw™ is operated by PARWARE LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08432317, with its registered office at 6 Skye Close, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV10 7LW. Parware Limited is the controller of your personal data. Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is ZC226074.
You can reach us, and our Data Protection Officer, about anything in this policy at privacy@dykaw.co.uk. If you would prefer to write to us, our correspondence address is [CONFIRM] (address to be added).
dykaw is an invite only networking and introductions platform. Members join by invitation, connect with recruitment agencies, and can put people they know forward for opportunities. Because it is invite only, dykaw is intended for people aged 18 and over.
| What we do | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Create and run your account | To provide the service you signed up for | Contract |
| Sign you in and control invite only access | To keep the platform secure and members only | Contract |
| Send invitations and track referrals | To let members grow the network and to keep it genuine | Legitimate interests |
| Put a member forward to an agency | To provide the introductions service you joined for | Contract |
| Provide paid alerts to agencies | To run the paid service agencies subscribe to | Contract (with the agency) |
| Store the notes a member writes | To support introductions | Legitimate interests |
| Bill Pro and agency accounts | To take payment and keep tax records | Contract, and Legal obligation for financial records |
| Keep the platform secure and prevent fraud | To protect you and the service | Legitimate interests |
| Understand and improve the service | To make dykaw better (not yet active) | Legitimate interests |
| Back up the data | So it can be recovered | Legitimate interests |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed our interest against your rights and recorded that assessment. You can object to any of that processing (see section 11).
If someone invited you, we received your email address from them so we could send you the invitation. You are under no obligation to join, you can ignore the invitation, and you can ask us to remove your details at any time using the contact above. If you do not accept, we delete the invitation record after a set period.
A core part of dykaw is that a member can put a fellow member forward to a recruitment agency. If you are put forward, the agency is shown your name, email address, phone number and region so it can contact you, and you are always told when this happens, through your dashboard and by email. The agency uses your details as its own independent controller, so once your details reach the agency, the agency is responsible for how it handles them. We share only those details, not your notes or any wider profile.
Members can write short notes to help with introductions. A note is private to the member who wrote it. No other member, and no dykaw administrator, can read it in normal use. Notes are encrypted and can only be unlocked for a narrow set of reasons, to answer a data request, to deal with a complaint or a safeguarding concern, or to meet a legal or court order, and each time this is done it is logged. We ask members not to record sensitive information about people in notes.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your data is held in the United Kingdom. The only exception is our encrypted backups, which are held in the European Economic Area. The United Kingdom recognises the European Economic Area as providing an adequate level of protection, so your data stays protected. We do not otherwise transfer your data outside the United Kingdom.
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, provide it in a portable form, or object to processing we base on legitimate interests. dykaw does not make any solely automated decisions about you.
To use any of these, contact privacy@dykaw.co.uk. We respond within one month and will tell you if we need longer because a request is complex. There is no charge in normal cases. If your request involves a note that mentions you but was written by someone else, we look at it carefully and protect the other person's identity where we should.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first at privacy@dykaw.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and look into it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, whether or not you come to us first.
We protect your data in transit with TLS encryption, and at rest with disk level encryption on ISO 27001 certified infrastructure. Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Access is invite only and rate limited, administrator access is limited to named people and reviewed, and we take automated encrypted backups that we test by restoring them.
dykaw uses only the cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep the site working, so we do not need to ask for your consent to them. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our Cookie Policy explains each one.
We send you service messages you need, such as security notices and reminders. We do not send you marketing from within the platform.
We may update this policy. If we make an important change, we will let members know. The version and date at the top show when it was last updated.
